As an officially licensed artist with the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish, I am deeply inspired by the institution’s storied legacy and rich traditions. Founded in 1842 by Rev. Edward Sorin, Notre Dame has become a symbol of excellence in both academics and athletics. The football program, in particular, boasts a remarkable history, highlighted by legendary coaches such as Knute Rockne, Ara Parseghian, and Lou Holtz, who have each contributed to the team’s enduring success. The iconic figure of the leprechaun embodies the fighting spirit of the Irish, while the inspiring story of Rudy Ruettiger serves as a testament to determination and passion.
My artistic process involves applying and removing layers of paint to achieve a harmonious balance, reflecting the depth and complexity of Notre Dame’s heritage. I strive to infuse each piece with the energy and spirit that define the Fighting Irish, aiming to evoke cherished memories of family gatherings, game days, and the profound sense of community that unites Notre Dame fans. It is my hope that my artwork brings the same sense of inspiration and connection that I experienced during my visit to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, a moment that has remained with me for over 25 years.
